Why it works

Custom AI signals catch intent that no built-in signal can: earnings-call mentions, executive posts about a pain point, blog announcements, industry trend coverage. Retargeting these companies with LinkedIn ads keeps your brand top-of-mind with their buying committee while your SDRs work the 1:1 motion in parallel — every impression reinforces the sequence landing in the inbox.

Setup

  1. Create a Custom AI Signal describing the intent you want to track. Be specific — the more concrete the prompt, the cleaner the audience.
    • Example prompt: “Companies whose executives have publicly discussed evaluating AI platforms for customer support in the last 60 days.”
  2. Activate the signal and use Preview to confirm the agent is finding the right companies before going live.
  3. Create an automation triggered by the Custom AI Signal.
  4. Add a filter: ICP Fit = A or B so only qualified accounts enter the audience.
  5. Set the action: Add to ad audience → select your LinkedIn ad audience (synced via HubSpot).
  6. Activate.
