# Close Integration

> Overview of the integration between Avina and Close.

## Overview

The Close integration lets Avina enroll leads into your Close sequences and write new contacts and audience activity into Close.

## What it does

* **Write**
  * **Sequences:** automations can enroll leads into an existing Close sequence.
  * **Leads and contacts:** with the push preferences turned on, Avina creates the company as a Close Lead and adds the people it finds as contacts.
  * **Audience activity:** written as a **note** on the Close Lead (linked to the contact when there is one), with the activity summary and tags.

* **Read**
  * With read access, Avina reads your Close data for CRM context.

## Setup

1. Go to **Settings → Integrations** in Avina.
2. Select **Close**.
3. Connect **Read**, **Write**, or both, and authenticate with your Close account.
4. Set your **Preferences**: **Push resolved contacts to Close**, **Push ICP contacts to Close**, and **Push audience activity to account and contact records**. See [CRM push preferences](https://docs.avina.io/integrations/introduction.md#crm-push-preferences).

## Automation actions

When building [automations](https://docs.avina.io/features/automations.md), Close supports:

* **Enroll in Static Sequence:** enroll leads in an existing Close sequence
* **Set CRM Label:** mark the notes Avina writes with the automation's name. See [CRM Labels](https://docs.avina.io/features/automations/crm-labels.md).
* **Push Audience Match to CRM:** push the lead's company, people, and activity to Close for this automation only. See [Push to CRM](https://docs.avina.io/features/automations/crm-push.md).

## Sync behavior

* **De-duplication:** Avina matches contacts by email and companies by domain before creating anything.
* **Enrollment:** leads are enrolled when an automation runs, or when you enroll them manually from the automation.
