# Apollo Integration

## Overview

The Apollo integration connects Avina to your Apollo workspace, enabling bi-directional data flow between your signal engine and your sales engagement platform.

## Purpose

* **Add contacts to Apollo sequences** from Avina automations
* **Sync contacts to Apollo lists** for prospecting and segmentation
* **Pull Apollo engagement data** (sequences, emails, calls) into Avina to enrich signals and account context
* **Push signal-discovered contacts** to Apollo for outreach

## How It Works

### Write

* **Sequences:** Avina automations can enroll contacts into Apollo sequences when signals fire.
* **Lists:** add contacts or accounts to Apollo lists for campaign targeting or prospecting workflows.
* **Contacts:** Avina creates or enriches contacts in Apollo when new prospects are discovered.

### Read

* Avina ingests Apollo engagement data, including sequence activity, email outcomes, and call logs.
* This data contributes to account scoring, signal enrichment, and personalized drafting.

## Setup

1. Navigate to **Settings > Integrations** in Avina.
2. Select **Apollo**.
3. Authenticate with your Apollo account via API key.
4. Save and verify the connection.

## Supported Actions in Automations

When building [automations](/features/automations), Apollo supports the following destination types:

* **Add to sequence:** enroll contacts into an Apollo sequence
* **Add to list:** add contacts to an Apollo contact list

## Sync Behavior

* **Initial sync:** Avina pulls historical engagement data when first connected.
* **Ongoing sync:** new activity syncs continuously in near real-time.
* **De-duplication:** Avina matches contacts by email to prevent duplicates.
