# Static Audiences

> Upload a CSV of contacts, fill in missing emails, phones, and ICP grades, then reach them with sequences or push them to your CRM.

A **static audience** is a fixed list of people you upload as a CSV: an event attendee list, a target account list from your team, or an export from another tool. Avina can fill in missing contact details, grade each contact against your ICP, and then enroll the list into a sequence or push it to your CRM.

Unlike a [dynamic audience](https://docs.avina.io/features/ai-signals-agent.md), a static audience doesn't grow on its own. It only changes when you upload more contacts or delete some.

## Upload a list

**1. Start a new list**

Go to **Audiences → Create Audience** and choose **Upload Static List**.

**2. Name your list**

Under **List details**, give the list a name and, optionally, a description. If you leave the description blank, Avina writes one from your upload.

**3. Upload your CSV**

Drop in one or more `.csv` files, each up to 10,000 rows. To upload more, split the file into parts.

**4. Review the column mapping**

Avina matches your columns to its fields automatically. Check each one and fix any that are wrong. If you uploaded several files, use the tabs at the top to review each file's mapping.

| Field | Required? |
| - | - |
| **Full Name**, or **First Name** and **Last Name** | Required |
| **Company Domain** | Required |
| **Title**, **Company**, **LinkedIn** | Strongly recommended |
| **Email**, **Phone** | Optional |

**5. Choose what to fill in**

Choose which missing details Avina should fill in. See [Enrich contacts](#enrich-contacts).

**6. Import**

Click **Import List** (or **Import & Enrich List** if you chose enrichment). The confirmation shows how many contacts will be imported, how many won't be because they're missing a name or company domain, and the most credits enrichment could use.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Rows without a name or company domain aren't imported.** They're marked **Missing** in the preview so you can fix your file first. **Duplicates are imported once.** Avina treats contacts as duplicates when they share an email, a LinkedIn URL, or (if they have neither) a name at the same company. That includes people already in the list.

## Enrich contacts

Avina only fills in blanks. It never changes values you uploaded.

| Option | Default | Credits |
| - | - | - |
| **Fill missing emails** | On | 0.5 per email found |
| **Fill missing phone numbers** | Off | 4 per phone number found |
| **Grade leads against your ICP** | Off | 0.5 per contact graded (A–F) |
| **Re-enrich from LinkedIn** | Off | Updates title and company from the contact's LinkedIn profile. Contacts without a LinkedIn URL are skipped. |

You're charged only for what Avina actually finds. Before you start, Avina shows an **Estimated max credit usage**.

**Contacts to enrich** limits a run to part of the list. With a limit set, Avina enriches the first contacts that need the highest-priority option you selected (email, then phone, then ICP grade), and applies every selected option to just those contacts.

To enrich later, open the list and click **Enrich Contacts**, or select rows in the table, right-click, and choose **Enrich…** or **Grade ICP…**.

For runs over 200 contacts, Avina emails you a summary when the run finishes. Until then, contacts show as enriching.

> [!WARNING]
>
> If your workspace runs out of credits, email, phone, and ICP enrichment can't start, and a run in progress stops where it is. See [Credits & Billing](https://docs.avina.io/platform/credits.md).

## Manage a list

Open a static audience to see:

* **Leads tab:** every contact in the list, with its enriched details and ICP grade. Select rows and right-click to **Enrich…**, **Grade ICP…**, **Reach out…**, or **Delete** them. Deleted contacts can come back if you upload them again later.
* **Configure tab:** edit the list's name and description, see the files you've already imported, and upload more CSVs. Contacts you add here aren't enriched automatically, so run **Enrich Contacts** afterwards.
* **⋯ menu:** **Export Contacts** (a CSV with names, title, company, domain, LinkedIn, email, phone, and ICP grade and reason), **Edit List Details**, and **Delete List**.

***

## Reach the list

Click **Reach These Leads** (or select rows and choose **Reach out…**) to:

* **Enroll in an existing automation:** one option for each sequence automation already linked to this list. Enrollment starts immediately. Contacts without an email, and contacts recently enrolled in another sequence, are skipped.
* **Launch AI Outreach:** create an [AI Sequence](https://docs.avina.io/features/ai-sequences.md) with this list as its audience.
* **Trigger an Existing Sequence:** create an [automation](https://docs.avina.io/features/automations.md) that enrolls this list into a sequence on your sending platform.
* **Push to HubSpot** or **Push to Salesforce:** create or update these contacts in your CRM. Contacts without an email or a matched company are skipped.

If some contacts have no email, Avina tells you how many will be skipped and suggests running **Enrich Contacts** first.

### How enrollment works for static audiences

Enrollment from a static audience is always **manual**. Contacts are enrolled only when you click **Enroll N Contacts**, either right after you activate an automation or publish an AI Sequence, or later from **Reach These Leads**.

* Static audiences can only be enrolled into sequences (AI Sequences or sequences on your sending platform).
* Automation filters aren't applied to static audiences, so enrollment uses the whole list or the rows you selected.
* In AI Sequence previews, you pick a contact from the list to preview against.
