# Outbound Agent

> Automated multi-step outreach powered by AI, built on top of your existing sequencer.

Avina's **Outbound Agent** lets you launch personalized, multi-step outreach powered by signal context and delivered through your existing sending platform. You keep your inboxes, workflows, and deliverability settings; Avina handles the drafting and orchestration.

In the dashboard, this feature lives under the **Sequences** tab, where you create and manage AI Sequences.

## How It Works

When you create an AI Sequence in Avina, we create a corresponding sequence in your connected sending platform under the hood. This means:

* **Your existing setup stays intact:** inboxes, sender reputation, mail merge tokens, and compliance settings carry over.
* **Avina drafts the steps:** using signal context, account history, and your product positioning to write personalized copy.
* **Your platform sends the emails:** deliverability, scheduling, and reply handling all happen in the tool your team already uses.

<Note>
  AI Sequences are not a separate email sender. They extend your existing sequencer with AI-powered drafting and signal-triggered enrollment.

## Supported Platforms

AI Sequences work with the following sending platforms:

<CardGroup cols={3}>
  <Card title="Outreach" icon="envelope" href="/integrations/outreach/overview" />

  <Card title="Salesloft" icon="envelope" href="/integrations/salesloft/overview" />

  <Card title="HubSpot" icon="hubspot" href="/integrations/hubspot/overview" />

  <Card title="Lemlist" icon="envelope" href="/integrations/lemlist/overview" />

  <Card title="Instantly" icon="bolt" href="/integrations/instantly/overview" />

  <Card title="Smartlead" icon="envelope" href="/integrations/smartlead/overview" />
</CardGroup>

Connect your preferred platform in **Settings > Integrations** before creating your first sequence.

      If your preferred platform is greyed out, click the **Connect** link to set it up in **Settings > Integrations**, then return to create your sequence.
    </Tip>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure and launch">
    After creating the sequence, you'll be taken to the sequence editor where you can:

## AI-Assisted Drafting

Avina drafts each email step using context from the signal that triggered the sequence:

### Signal Context Framework

Avina uses two categories of context to personalize drafts:

* **Public context:** information Avina found about the prospect and their company from public sources (website, LinkedIn, news, job postings).
* **Private context:** information from your CRM and engagement history (deal stage, past conversations, account activity).

This dual-context approach produces emails that reference specific, relevant details rather than generic templates.

### How Drafting Works

1. **Signal fires:** a prospect triggers one of your active signals (e.g., visits your pricing page, gets hired into a target role).
2. **Context is assembled:** Avina pulls together public research and CRM data about the prospect and their account.
3. **Draft is generated:** AI writes personalized copy for each step, incorporating the signal trigger, prospect context, and your product positioning.
4. **You review:** preview the draft in the sequence editor, tweak if needed, then publish.

### Style and Templating Instructions

When editing a sequence, you can provide:

* **Style instructions:** guide the tone, formality, and voice of AI-generated drafts (e.g., "Keep it casual and under 100 words").
* **Templating instructions:** define structural requirements or specific talking points to include in every draft.

***

## Sender Selection

Choose which team member sends each sequence. The sender list is populated from your connected platform's user accounts, so your team's existing mailbox setup is preserved.

***

## Sequence Analytics

Track the performance of each sequence from the Sequences page:

* **Published vs. Draft:** see which sequences are live and which are still being edited.
* **Enrollment count:** how many prospects have been enrolled.
* **Connected signal:** which signal is feeding prospects into the sequence.

***

## Launching from Signal Activation

When you activate a new signal, Avina presents a "What should happen next?" modal with quick actions. Selecting **Launch AI Outreach** takes you directly to the sequence creation flow with the signal pre-linked, so prospects from that signal are automatically enrolled.

## Best Practices

1. **Start with your highest-intent signal:** pair AI Sequences with signals like pricing page visits or champion movement for the best results.
2. **Use style instructions:** a few sentences of guidance dramatically improve draft quality and brand consistency.
3. **Review before publishing:** AI drafts are strong starting points, but a human pass ensures nothing feels off.
4. **Keep sequences short:** 2–3 steps perform better than 5+ step sequences for signal-triggered outreach.
5. **Monitor and iterate:** check sequence analytics regularly and refine your signal filters and copy based on engagement.
